The screw rod closure with sealing components (1) are for holding together two closure components (2,4) provided with through apertures, such as end bushes of a clamp strap for a vessel closure or similar. It comprises a screw thread rod extending through the apertures of the closure components. The rod at one end (5) is provided with a stop engaging in a closure component and at least one nut at the other end of the screw thread rod screwed against the other closure component. The nut connects a sealing component, which has an aperture accommodating the screw thread rod. Nut locking devices, and engagement devices prevent displacement of the sealing component in the direction of the end of the screw thread rod extending out of the nut. Stop devices prevent rotation of the sealing component around the screw thread rod.
