<p>An electrical contact opening/closing device, a power consumption suppressing circuit, a DC motor, a pantograph apparatus, a connector and a pulse generator apparatus that are capable of preventing occurrence of arc discharges and that can be made at a low cost of material and in a smaller size. A conduction electrical contact and a transient current electrical contact, which can be opened/closed with a time difference therebetween and are electrically connected in parallel with each other, are connected through a load to a power supply. A capacitor is connected in series with the transient current electrical contact. When the conduction electrical contact is opened, a transient current is caused to flow from the power supply into the capacitor, thereby causing a voltage drop to occur due to the load and the internal resistance of the power supply, and then the transient current electrical contact is closed so as to suppress a rise in voltage of the conduction electrical contact.</p> |
