An electric charger includes: a combined battery consisting of secondary cells connected in series; a charge power source unit for supplying charge current to both ends of the combined battery consisting of the secondary cells connected in series; and a plurality of charge control units connected to both ends of each of the secondary cells. The charge power source unit includes a charge current output unit for outputting charge current to the combined battery and control means for controlling the current of the charge current output unit according to a report on the bypass current from the charge control unit. Each of the charge control units includes current control means for bypassing current flowing in the secondary cell when the terminal voltage of the secondary cell has reached a predetermined voltage value, and report means for reporting the bypass current to the control means of the charge power source unit.
