The invention relates to a control method for hill-descent in a vehicle with an automatically operated clutch, whereby said driving situation is detected and on descending a hill, the clutch is automatically released when the gearbox speed is less than a set first value and the clutch engaged again when the gearbox speed exceeds a set second value, characterised in that the clutch is released or engaged at a speed the value of which is less than a set value, or that the clutch is only released far enough to permit the transfer of a set torque from the gearbox to the engine, or accelerating the vehicle to a set value, or the speed of the vehicle corresponds to a set value or the difference between gearbox speed and engine speed corresponds to a set value. |
