<p>A system indicates fault conditions in an automated banking machine apparatus. A journal printer (12, 106) is supplied with paper from a paper supply (16, 112). A paper take-up device (18, 114) receives paper from the printer. Movement of the take-up device is sensed by a detector (70, 146, 124). The detector is connected to an electronic circuit (74, 118) including a processor (76, 120). Fault signals are generated by the electronic circuit responsive to the detector sensing conditions representative of a paper jam and a paper break.</p> |
