The ramp procedure for magnetic resonance magnets uses a magnetic power supply (2) provided with a digital interface (3), for connection with the electronics (4) of the magnetic resonance device, to allow precise adjustment of the current of the magnetic power supply in dependence on the actual magnet frequency, provided by a resonance frequency sensor (5), a shim array or an electron beam magnetometer.
