A red balm treating first, second and third degree burns, using an occlusive, anti-inflammatory and immunostimulant oil, an anesthetic agent, softening, nourishing and epidermis repairing vegetable oil, membrane protecting and/or regenerating agents, immunostimulant, anti-inflammatory and scar tissue forming agents, antiseptic agents, beeswax and white wax : The vegetable oils are olive oil and sesame oil. The plants used are Rheum ribes and red sandalwood (Pterocarpus santanila). The balm is totally tolerated and is non-toxic on ingestion when applied to the face. It leaves no scars on the face in 75-90% of cases.
