PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately measure relative velocities between a cruising body and water or sea water without being affected by the thickness of a turbulent boundary layer. SOLUTION: This electromagnetic log is equipped with a velocity detection means for detecting relative velocities between the cruising body and water or sea water based on the law of electromagnetic induction; an attitude detection means for detecting the attitude of the cruising body; and a velocity correction means for correcting the relative velocities detected by the velocity detection means correspondingly to the attitude of the cruising body detected by the attitude detection means.
