摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rear-view mirror device with a simple constitution and high visibility, capable of visually recognizing emission light from a front side and a rear side of a vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: When LED lamp 7 is energized, LED chip flashes, and the light radiated from the LED chip is transmitted to a light radiation end 2c of a housing 2 while totally reflecting in thickness of the housing 2, and the light is rearwardly radiated from the light radiation end 2c. Further, since the housing 2 is gradually made thinner from a light incident end 2d toward the light radiation end 2c, when the emission light from the LED lamp 7 is transmitted in the thickness of the housing 2, the light leaked from an outer surface other than a coating area 2 of the housing 2 to the outside is strengthened and the emission light of the LED lamp 7 can be visually recognized from the front side of the vehicle. Since the housing 2 itself plays a role of a light guide, a light guide is not separately required and a mounting member thereof is not required.
