<p>Traffic situation (b) of an objective road is sampled at specified intervals along the road, a sequence of sampled data thus abtained is divided into a plurality of blocks (block 1, block 2, block 3), and the sampled data included in the blocks is encoded by orthogonal transformation on a block basis. Since the encoded data is decoded on a block basis, program load of encoding and decoding is lessened and a work memory having a small memory quantity can be used in the processing.</p> |
