PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To transfer an image without imposing a load on a server of a transmission destination. SOLUTION: In the image transfer device, an image input part 2002 inputs an image to be transmitted and an image registering part 2005 registers the input image to a server such as a proxy server 12 connected to a network such as a LAN 80. An e-mail managing part 2006 transmits the address of the server, in which the image is registered to the transmitting destination of the image as an e-mail. Hereby, only the address of the server registering the image is transmitted to the transmission destination of the image as an e-mail so as to refer to the image, without imposing a load on the server of the transmitting destination.
