<p>A method of manufacturing a guide post device in a press mold capable of reducing cost and manufacturing time, easily and accurately providing the squareness of the axis of a guide post to the bottom face of a mounting holder, reducing the deflection of the guide post, and improving the integration of the guide post with the mounting holder, comprising the steps of forging a raw material (S1 in Fig. 8) to provide a semi-finished product (B-1) having the guide post and the mounting holder formed integrally with each other (Figs. 5 to 7), machining the semi-finished product (B-1)(S2 in Fig. 8) to form the guide post (10) in a cylindrical shape with a specified outer diameter and finish the bottom face of the mounting holder (11) in a flat surface (squareness of the axis of the guide post (10) to the bottom face of the mounting holder (11) can be assured), machining mounting holes (11) and a positioning hole (13) in the mounting holder (11) (S3 in Fig. 8), hardening the guide post (10) by, for example, induction-hardening (S4 in Fig. 8), and grinding the outer surface of the guide post (10) by, for example, cylindrical grinding (S5 in Fig. 8). A molded product (B) having the guide post (10) and the mounting holder (11) formed integrally with each other as a finished product is shown in Figs. 2 to 4.</p> |
