<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily identify print-out images, even when printing is performed while adding a background design image to the print-out images. <P>SOLUTION: A physical page 5201 which is a printable region on a print paper sheet, is divided, printing is performed on divided regions (logical pages) 5211, 5212, 5213 and 5214, and a background design image is printed on a region 5220 that does not belong to any of the logical pages, within the physical page. By utilizing the fact that a margin occurs, in such a case of so-called N-up printing, the background design image is printed on the margin, so that regardless of the image to be printed, the background design image can be printed at a position that does not interfere with the image. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
