PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light guide plate for lighting arranged to irradiate a display surface of a liquid crystal display with high use efficiency of light and good uniformity of brightness.

SOLUTION: This light guide plate comprises a light guiding body 2 having an incident part 2a which the light from a light source 1 enters and an emitting surface 2d emitting the incident light, a prism sheet 3 in which prisms 31 with triangular cross sections are arranged in a row and which is arranged so that its ridge is directed to the emitting surface 2d of the light guiding body 2; and a light passage comprising light transmissive member 4 embedded in a space between the light guiding body 2 and the prism sheet 3 in a shape of a point or a line.
