PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging device capable of enhancing the cooling efficiency of an imaging element and also preventing dew condensation to the imaging element. SOLUTION: In the imaging apparatus, a solid-state image sensor 1 for imaging an image is contained to an outer package part 3, an internal cover 9 for containing the solid-state image sensor 1 is arranged in the inside of the outer package part 3, a heat insulation material 8 for thermally insulating the outer package part 3 from the internal cover 9 is arranged between the outer package part 3 and the internal cover 9, and first and second Peltier elements 2, 10 respectively cool the solid-state image sensor 1 and the internal cover 9 and radiate the heat absorbed from the solid-state image sensor 1 and the internal cover 9 to the outer package part 3.
