PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a foiled fluid bearing having further improved rotating performance. SOLUTION: The foiled fluid bearing 1 comprises a static holding member 2 circling the outer periphery of a journal portion 13 of a rotor via an annular cavity G and a plurality of centripetal force generating foils (mid-foils 12) arranged between the journal portion and the static holding member in a circumferentially split manner and each anchored at one end to the static holding member. Slits 4 are formed in portions of the static holding member between both anchored ends of the plurality of centripetal force generating foils along the axial direction. Thus, the degree of freedom in setting the center position of the supporting rigidity of the journal portion is improved while satisfying journaling accuracy in a finished product as the foiled fluid bearing.
