摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a corrugated fiberboard shock-absorbing material to be used for packing medium to small equipment, in particular, a corrugated fiberboard shock-absorbing material to be miniaturized and simplified while maintaining the strength performance of the shock-absorbing material when supporting the equipment by corrugated fiberboard end faces, and a method for treating the end faces thereof. SOLUTION: A removing side surface layer 2 and a flute layer 4 are parted by advancing a first edge die A at a right angle to the removing side surface layer 2 to perform the half-cut treatment. A covering side surface layer 1 is parted by advancing an edge die 8 for contour of a second edge die B at a right angle to the covering side surface layer 1 at the position (the covering side cut position 7) separate from the half-cut position by the outer corrugated fiberboard thickness or more. Before the edge die 8 for contour parts the removing side surface layer 2, a bend guide 9 is brought into contact with the covering side surface layer 1, and the covering side surface layer is bent and the remaining flute layer 4 is compressed. When the bend guide 9 reaches the position of the removing side surface layer 2, remaining a surplus of the flute layer 4 ejected from a space 11 is cut by the shear force when the bend guide 9 passes to realize a completed shape of the end face.
