PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that there arises a difficulty of increasing the stiffness of a frame member in a direction orthogonal to the direction of a row of nozzles and the frame member resonates to make it difficult to stably discharge liquid drops when a head is driven. SOLUTION: Liquid-supply port sections 19, 19 form part of a liquid-supply port 9 of a frame member 15 comprising an opening 16 containing a base substrate 11 with a piezoelectric element 10 joined thereto. The liquid-supply port sections 19, 19 are constrained from the direction parallel to a nozzle surface through spacers 23, 23 and O rings 24, 24 inserted into through holes 22, 22 formed in a fixing plate 21, thereby increasing the stiffness of the frame member 15 to enable a stable liquid-drop discharge.
