PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology of using only one frequency band so as to carry out efficient relay transmission. SOLUTION: In the case of relaying, at a prescribed relay station, data transmitted among a plurality of wireless communication stations, each of the wireless communication stations transmits data with respect to a data amount stored in its own station to the relay station, the relay station discriminates the transmitted data related to the data amount and a data amount stored in a buffer in the relay station to determine a performance rate of the relaying operation and transmits data among the respective wireless communication stations on the basis of the determined performance rate.
