摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hologram recording material and a hologram recording medium having high diffraction efficiency and high sensitivity by using a composition of a polymerizable polycyclic compound as a photopolymerizable monomer. SOLUTION: The volume hologram recording composition which records interference fringes due to interference of coherent light by difference in refractive index contains a nitrogen-containing polymerizable condensed aromatic ring compound having a polymerizable functional group and a condensed aromatic ring group including a 6-membered heterocycle containing at least one or more nitrogen atoms, wherein all rings constituting the condensed ring are 6-membered rings.
