<p>An optical disk device where a reception section with trays can be made thinner and an optical disk device where small diameter optical disks installed in adapters can be received in a layered manner. Trays (21) received in a body (13) are urged so as to clasp optical disks (12) in a thickness direction, so that gaps between the optical disks (12) and the trays (21) are reduced to reduce the thickness of trays (21), enabling an optical disk device (10) to be more compact. Further, spring members (17) urge the trays (21) to elastically clasp them in the thickness direction, and as a result, a pressing force greater than a predetermined level does not act on the optical disks (12) received in the trays (21) and the received optical disks (12) are prevented from being damaged. In a hollow section (22a) of a tray (21), a projection (14b) projects beyond a standard thickness of an optical disk (12) without interfering with the tray (21), so that a small diameter optical disk (12B) received in an adapter (14) can be received in the tray (21) even if the projection (14b) projects out from the adapter (14).</p> |
