SURFACE PRESSURE MEASURING DEVICE FOR GLAND PACKING OF RING SHAPE, AND SURFACE PRESSURE MEASURING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface pressure measuring device for gland packing, capable of measuring distribution of inside surface pressure activating to the outside of a shaft directly in one setting and also capable of measuring the distribution of inside surface pressure in an axial direction, with identical conditions as the laminated use of the ring-shaped gland packing. SOLUTION: The surface pressure measuring device for the gland packing of ring shape comprises an axis formed by laminating multiple sheets of disk-like load cells; a stuffing box formed so as to surround the outside surface of the axis; and a packing stuffing, means arranged on the stuffing box, for pressing the gland packing of multiple ring shape laminated between the axial part and the stuffing box in an axial direction.
