<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device which makes it possible to obtain a uniform current source free of variations in the current values of output stages even during the sampling period of another circuits. <P>SOLUTION: A plurality of circuit units CUNT are arranged in multiple stages via switching elements (TFTs) so as to constitute a tree structure. The current Iref of external input is inputted to the circuit unit CUNT 1-1 of the first column of the first stage to charge the unit, then the current Iref of the external input is inputted to the circuit unit CUNT 2-1 of the second column of the first stage to charge the unit, in the first column in parallel to which the current based on the charge charged into the circuit unit CUNT 1-1 of the first stage is inputted to the circuit unit CUNT 2-1 of the second stage to charge the unit.
