<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a touch panel excellent in surface smoothness and environment resistance for mounting on the display surface of a liquid crystal display device or the like. <P>SOLUTION: The touch panel comprises a first transparent base 31 and a second transparent base 32 oppositely bonded to each other, and a flexible wiring board 45 secured to the first transparent base 31. A protective layer 50 applied around the pressure contact part of the flexible wiring board 45 is formed out of contact with the second transparent base 32, whereby changes in the surface smoothness of the second transparent base 32 can be made small even after the touch panel has been left in a high-temperature, high-humidity atmosphere. The touch panel is excellent in visibility, operability, quality and the like and is applicable to fields where severe service environments are required, such as onboard use. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
