PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve steering feeling by reducing hysteresis of torsion characteristic of a torsion bar in a servo valve for a power steering device. SOLUTION: The torsion bar 7 connects the distance between an input and an output shafts. A sleeve 21 integrally rotatably fixed to the input shaft encircles the surrounding of the torsion bar 7. A storage hole 14 is provided in the torsion bar 7 with its larger diameter part 13 at the axially intermediate part 12. A ball plunger 18 movably stored in the storage hole 14 forward and backward is energized in the advancing direction with a spring member 16. Ball 18 of the ball plunger 18 smoothly engages with an engaging recessed part 25 of an inner peripheral surface 21a of a sleeve 21 while rolling, and smoothly releases the engagement.
