WEAR COMPENSATION SYSTEM FOR A DISK BRAKE ASSEMBLY

A wear compensation system comprises a wear compensation assembly and an annular push plate set between the actuator of the disk brake assembly, and the movable support for the disk brake pads. The system is designed so that the push plate slightly rotates and forces the disk brake pad support slightly further away from the actuator to compensate for the wear of the disk brake pads. This rotation is caused by the wear compensation assembly, including a rack and pinion arrangement, which is activated when the travel stroke is above a preset value. This preset value is dictated by the relationship between a sprocket and at least one follower. The system ensures optimal compensation for the disk brake assembly.
