The vibration-damping, hydraulic mounting for a vehicle engine comprises a metal plug (2) attached to the base of a pin (3). This is connected to a metal ring (4) by an elastomeric cone (5) which partially encloses a working chamber (A). This is separated from a compensating chamber (B) by a rigid partition (6). An annular shell (10) is mounted below the partition and is fitted with a cover plate. This has concentric annular slots (16, 17) in its upper surface which connect with the compensating chamber and an aperture in the cover plate connects it with the working chamber, forming a constricted passage. |
