<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air purifying device for purifying air to be purified by removing tangible and intangible mixed substances by gas-liquid contact, for which sterilizing and deodorizing effects are imparted to circulation water for purification used in the device by adding chlorine dioxide. <P>SOLUTION: In the air purifying device, a gas-liquid contact part and a gas-liquid separation part are successively arrayed inside a cylindrical body where the air to be purified is guided and made to flow. The gas-liquid contact part is an area where a water curtain formed by jetting the circulation water stored in a water tank to be pressurized and fed from a nozzle and the flowing air are brought into gas-liquid contact and the tangible and intangible mixed substances in the air are removed. The gas-liquid separation part is an area constituted so as to separate and remove fine droplets contained in the air passed through the gas-liquid contact part from the air. The air purifying device is provided with a chlorine dioxide adding means for adding a stabilized chlorine dioxide solution to the water tank of the circulation water and a chlorine dioxide activating means disposed in circulation water piping from the water tank of the circulation water to a jetting nozzle inside the gas-liquid contact part for activating the chlorine dioxide added in the circulation water. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
