<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of forming a colored part that is hard to cause exfoliation and the like, and to provide a resin molded article having such a colored part. <P>SOLUTION: The method of forming the colored part is featured in that the colored part is formed at least at a part near the surface of the molded article mainly composed of a resin material and that the colored part is formed by chemically reacting a reactant chemical structure which is present at least at the part near the surface of the molded article with a color reagent. The reactant chemical structure is preferably that which is introduced into the molded article by making the molded article contact with a solution that dissolves a compound having the reactant chemical structure.
