MEDICAL INFORMATION SYSTEM AND MEDICAL INFORMATION PROVISION METHOD FOR SUPPORTING MEDICAL RESEARCH BY PROTECTING PERSONAL INFORMATION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical information system and a medical information provision method for supporting a medical research by protecting personal information.

SOLUTION: This medical information system comprises: an individual identification information storage unit 140 provided for a patient terminal 100 possessed by a patient for storing ID data of the patient; an non-ID information database 120 for storing non-individual identification information of the patient; a medical care code generating part 240 provided for a hospital server 200 for issuing a medical care code for treating the patient; a medical care information database 220 for storing medical care data of the patient; and medical care code list databases 110 and 210 for storing medical care codes stored and issued in/from the patient terminal 100 and the hospital server 200. When the medical data of the patient are intended to be used for medical researches, only the non-ID data separated from the ID information of the patient are provided along with the medical care code, so that it is possible to prevent the personal information of the patient from being leaked.
