<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control remotely whether or not a customer can make use of a service providing device prepared for customers, to charge without exchanging an actual money (cash) when the customer makes use of the service providing device, and to simply identify the customer when the customer makes use of the service providing device. <P>SOLUTION: A service providing system includes the service providing device comprising an operating section receiving a use request from the outside, a transmitting section transmitting the use request to a control processing device via a network, a receiving section receiving use permission in response to the use request from the control processing device via the network, and a service processing section capable of permitting the use based on the use permission and stopping the use when a predetermined instruction for completion of the use is received. A control processing device includes a receiving section for receiving the use request from the service providing device via the network, a collation section for giving the use permission in response to the use request, and a transmitting section for transmitting the use permission to the service providing device via the network.
