PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an extracting apparatus capable of efficiently extracting a specified substance, such as a nucleic acid, from a sample solution in a short time and capable of efficiently preventing occurrence of contamination in a process for supplying an extraction cartridge with pressurized air. SOLUTION: This extracting apparatus uses an extraction cartridge 11 having a filter medium 11b to make the medium 11b absorb the specified substance in the sample solution, wherein a pressurized air supply mechanism 4 for introducing the pressurized air into the extraction cartridge 11 is equipped with a sealing material 42 which is positioned just under a plurality of air nozzles 41 mounted on a moving pressurizing head 40, so that the sealing material 42 is jointly integrated with each of the air nozzles 41 and held by the pressurizing head 40 so as to be detachable/attachable, and the sealing material 42 is easily replaced.
