Kneadable material comprises a hydrocolloid, a water-soluble mono- or polyhydric alcohol and a surfactant. An independent claim is also included for producing a kneadable material as above by mixing starch with a colorant, heating the surfactant and glycerol and mixing them together, adding the starch-colorant mixture to the surfactant-glycerol mixture, and kneading and/or stirring the mixture.
