A filtering device for removing impurities in a liquid. A filter bag (2) and a bag filter bucket (3) are installed so that their openings are downward. A circular gap between the outer periphery of the bag filter bucket (3) and the inner periphery of a main body (41) of a filter housing (4) is sealed by a seal ring (8). The bag filter bucket (3) is constructed such that its handle (10) is located more inward than the tip end portion of a hollow cylinder-like portion of the bag filter bucket, and that the tip end portion of the hollow cylinder-like portion of the bag filter bucket (3) is in contact with a position-limiting portion (51).
