PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a quake-absorbing structure which adopts quake-absorbing bearing such as ball bearing and sliding bearing, wherein the quake-absorbing structure excellently achieves seismic isolation of a superstructure not only at the time of a relatively large earthquake but also at the time of occurrence of small vibrations such as traffic vibrations. SOLUTION: The quake-absorbing structure is comprised of a quake-absorbing sliding bearing portion 3 arranged between a lower structure 1 and the superstructure 2, a quake-absorbing ball bearing portion 4 arranged between the quake-absorbing sliding bearing portion 3 and the superstructure 2, and a stopper 5 for inhibiting relative lateral displacement between an upper bearing portion 4a and a lower bearing portion 4b of the quake-absorbing ball bearing portion 4 by a predetermined value or more. According to the quake-absorbing structure, small vibrations are seismically isolated only by the quake-absorbing ball bearing portion 4, while large vibrations are seismically isolated by the quake-absorbing sliding bearing portion 3.
