PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article capable of giving "heeling" and "the sense of security" to women during menstruation. SOLUTION: A napkin 1 comprises a top sheet 2 positioned on a surface to be abutted to a human body, a back sheet 3 positioned on a surface on the opposite side of the top sheet 2 to be abutted to underwear, an absorbent 4 interposed between the top sheet 2 and the back sheet 3, a shift stopping part 6 executed on the surface to be abutted to the underwear of the back sheet 3 and release paper 7 fixed to the shift stopping part 6 or fixed so as to be freely released, and is individually packaged by a wrapping material. In the napkin 1, the release paper 7 is provided with prescribed identification information 8 and the identification information 8 provided on the release paper 7 is visually recognized from the side of the top sheet 2.
