<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cell search method, and a receiver and a mobile communication terminal device performing that method, which improves the property of initial cell search, even when the SNR of a received signal from a base station is low, without using a linear amplifier whose dynamic range is wide. <P>SOLUTION: The receiver 100 is equipped with a saturated amplifier 115 for performing saturation amplification of the received signal until the synchronization with the base station is established, a linear amplifier 116 for performing linear amplification of the received signal after the synchronization with the base station is established, and an analog/digital converter 120 for performing analog/digital conversion of the received signal amplified by a saturation property or linearly by a comparatively narrow dynamic range. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
