PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a retrieval result display system that enables a user to easily and speedily specify a musical piece code, by using a Karaoke remote controller having a specified search engine, when the user requests a Karaoke playing machine to play a desired musical piece. SOLUTION: Pieces of musical piece information which are hit in a specified musical piece database under arbitrary search conditions are listed and displayed and at this time; when musical pieces which are high in the frequency of playing or of reservation frequency are included, they are sorted in the decreasing order and are preferentially displayed at the head of the list display of retrieval results.
