PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water-based hardenable composition less affecting the environment but excellent in coating film physical characteristics such as workability, hardness, and water resistance, wherein less volatile organic solvent is used than in conventional compositions. SOLUTION: The water-based hardenable composition contains a blocked polyisocyanate (A), a reactive diluent (B), a hydrophilic group-containing compound (C), and a water-based resin (D) having an active hydrogen-containing group.
