The bucket scoop wheel (1) has e.g. eight buckets (2) for moving a pile of solid granular material and leaving an even layer, e.g. for a roadway. Each bucket has scraper teeth (5) on its lower edge. There is an extra blade (4) set at an angle in front of each bucket to form a pocket to catch material falling out of each bucket as it descends. The wheel rim (6) has a frame (3) with a cylindrical plate or sheet (7). There are struts (8) holding the extra blades.
