PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for testing waterproofness, which is compatible with testing the waterproofness in a liquid such as water and lightening the correction work at the time that the bad waterproofness is detected. SOLUTION: After a watch is subjected to a waterproofness test while holding it in a pressurized air, and the results that there is no defect in the waterproofness (no air leak) is obtained, the watch is subjected to the pressurized water proof test in the water while holding it in the water.
