PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image pickup unit surely preventing static electricity from intruding into a casing and improving reliability of the operation of a camera module. SOLUTION: In this image pickup unit which is provided with the casing 4 with an opening part 13 formed, the camera module 22 arranged inside the casing 4 and a substrate 21 for feeding power to the camera module 22 and which performs imaging by the camera module 22 through the opening part 13, an exterior member 17, at least the surface part of which is made of conductive material is provided around the opening part 13, and the exterior member 17 is electrically connected to a ground line 11 formed on the substrate 21.
