PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a garbage disposer in which garbage can be thrown in at any time though the disposer is of batch type, and the operational starting time and the operation hours can be freely determined. SOLUTION: The garbage disposer is demarcated into a disposal chamber 2 and a disposal waiting chamber 3. After garbage is disposed in the disposal chamber 2, garbage in the disposal waiting chamber 3 is fed into the disposal chamber 2. The disposal waiting chamber 3 is provided on an upper part of the disposal chamber 2. An opening/closing lid 4 to open/close a space between the disposal waiting chamber 3 and the disposal chamber 2 is provided, and garbage in the disposal waiting chamber 3 is thrown into the disposal chamber 2 by opening the opening/closing lid 4. In addition, a primary dehydration chamber 5 is provided, and after garbage is thrown into the primary dehydration chamber 5 and dehydrated, the garbage is fed into the disposal waiting chamber 3.
