ELECTROSTATIC ATOMIZER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To rapidly suck up a liquid in a feed part to atomize the same even if liquids different in viscosity are put in the feed part. SOLUTION: The electrostatic atomizer has the feed part 2 comprising a pore body having a large number of micropores 8 for feeding the liquid from a liquid sump part 1, a counter electrode 3 arranged so as to be opposed to the feed direction of the liquid due to the feed part 2, a liquid applying electrode 4 for applying voltage to the liquid in the route reaching the leading end on the side of the counter electrode of the feed part 2 from the liquid sump part 1 and a voltage applying part 6 for applying high voltage across the liquid applying electrode 4 and the counter electrode 3. A large number of micropores 8 present in the feed part 2 comprising the porous body are classified into a plurality of groups different in pore size and these groups are parallelly arranged in the liquid feed direction of the feed part 2.
