PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To separate rice bran on the surface of rice by a rice grinder to recover the same without using a rice bran bag or a paper pack in a rice washing apparatus for washing rice without using water and to detect whether a rice bran recovery part is mounted to prevent the trouble or the like occurring when the rice bran recovery part is not mounted. SOLUTION: The rice grinder 4 for grinding rice and separating rice bran component or the like on the surface of rice and a suction fan 5 for feeding the rice bran component along with air are connected by a hermetically closed rice bran sucking and collecting part 7. The rice bran sucking and collecting part 7 has a rice bran collection part 7a for collecting the rice bran component and a cyclone part 7b for separating air and the rice bran component to recover the rice bran component and a rice bran recovery part 9 for accumulating rice bran recovered by the cyclone part 7b is provided to the cyclone part 7b detachably. When at least one constituent member of the rice bran sucking and collecting part 7 and the rice bran recovery part 9 is not mounted, this state is detected by a detection means 30 to be displayed.
