<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell capable of conducting appropriate water control without decreasing power generation efficiency. <P>SOLUTION: The fuel cell is equipped with a cathode 2c and an anode 2a arranged on both sides of a polymer electrolyte membrane 1 and producing electromotive force by electrochemical reaction, a cathode gas diffusion layer 3c and an anode gas diffusion layer 3a adjacently installed on both surfaces of the cathode 2c and the anode 2a, and separators 8c, 8a adjacently installed on both sides of the cathode gas diffusion layer 3c and the anode gas diffusion layer 3a, and also equipped with a cathode gas passage 5 for supplying cathode gas to the cathode 2c through the cathode gas diffusion layer 3c, an anode gas passage 6 for supplying anode gas to the anode 2a through the anode gas diffusion layer 3a, and a through hole 10 put on the anode gas passage 6 so as to directly introduce part of anode gas into the anode 2a. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
