<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify document conversion and to efficiently reuse a document by performing automatic discrimination of the format of a document and format judgment utilizing an appearance without using a conversion template. <P>SOLUTION: A method for managing document data with a computer system comprises: a conversion process for acquiring prepared document data and converting the format of the document data into a specific format; a division process for extracting prescribed division information from the converted document data and dividing the document data into a plurality of finely divided data on the basis of the division information; a storage process for storing the plurality of finely divided data into a document data storage means in relation to prescribed identification information; a retrieval process for acquiring a retrieving condition from a user terminal requesting the use of the document data and retrieving the corresponding finely divided data from the document data storage means; and an output process for outputting the retrieved finely divided data to the user terminal. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
