<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a new polyol useful for obtaining polyfunctional polymerizable compounds containing a polyfunctional (meth)acrylate and capable of improving the properties including heat resistance and hardness of such compounds. <P>SOLUTION: The new polyol is constituted of a fluorene skeleton represented by formula(1)( wherein, R<SP>1a</SP>, R<SP>1b</SP>, R<SP>2a</SP>and R<SP>2b</SP>are each a substituent; R<SP>3a</SP>and R<SP>3b</SP>are each an alkylene group; k1 and k2 are each an integer of 0 or 1-4; m1 and m2 are each an integer of 0 or 1-3; n1 and n2 are each an integer of 0 or ≥1; p1 and p2 are each an integer of 2-4; wherein, when p1 and p2 are each 2, n1 and n2 are each an integer of ≥1, and (m1+p1) and (m2+p2) are each an integer of 2-5 ).
