PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resonator for use in nuclear magnetic resonance measurement, suitable for use in recent nuclear magnetic resonance devices provided with balance lines. SOLUTION: The resonator comprises a sample coil provided with ends A, B; balance lines composed of two conductors connected to the ends A, B, respectively, of the sample coil on their one end; a dielectric body held onto the conductor connected to the end A of the sample coil by a holding member turnably provided and arranged in parallel with the balance lines; and a capacitor which connects the ends of the balance lines on the side not connected to the sample coil. The dielectric body is configured to turn around the conductor connected to the end A of the sample coil via the holding member, thereby varying the distance from the conductor connected to the end B of the sample coil.
