PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reinforcing member capable of facilitating the construction work and efficiently preventing the separation of the end section without giving so much influence on a structure and a reinforcing method using the reinforcing member. SOLUTION: The long-sized plate-like fiber reinforced resin plate is obtained by impregnating a reinforcing fiber with a resin and hardening it, the structure is reinforced by bonding it to the surface of the structure. The L-shaped fiber reinforced resin plate 1 formed by molding at least one end section in the longitudinal direction of the plate bent in an approximately L-shape is used, and the bent front end section of the approximately L-shaped plate 1 is fitted and fixed in a groove 3 formed in the structure 2 in advance to reinforce the structure.
